From grocery stores to fund transfers across the banks, almost everyone uses UPI services these days. Since this service came to use since 2016, most of cities are going towards a cashless economy.

    What is UPI?

UPI is an instant payment system which is quite popular at present along with other online fund transfer modes. It enables fund transfer between two bank Accounts.

UPI stands for Unified Payments Interface. It is a real-time payment system developed by the National Payments Corporation of India which allows users to link multiple bank accounts to a single mobile application to conduct various types of transactions, such as sending money, receiving money, making payments, and paying bills for many day-to-day use from small purchase to electric bill.

It helps us to experience a simple process of transferring funds between bank accounts. It enables users to make instant payments using their smartphones by simply providing a virtual payment address (VPA) or scanning a QR code. UPI transactions are processed in real-time, allowing for quick and convenient peer-to-peer fund transfers. Sometimes, people face problems where the money is debited from their account but the recipient does not receive it. If you have any problem using UPI, you can contact via UPI customer care number.

    UPI customer care number

You can call this UPI customer care number anytime. Another option apart from this UPI customer care number is BHIM UPI’s ‘Get-in-Touch’ service. Customers can have access to this service for filling complaints related to UPI, providing feedback, raising issues regarding, transactions, BHIM Cash-back,  PIN, accounts, registration, SMS, login issue, etc.

How can you raise a UPI complaint?

    Using Get-inTouch feature

    • From your browser, go to the official website of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), which manages the UPI system. The website is https://www.npci.org.in/.
    • Look for the “Contact Us” or “Get in Touch” section on the NPCI website. This section typically provides options for raising complaints or grievances related to UPI fund transfers.
    • Within the “Get in Touch” section, you may find different contact options. Look for the one specifically related to UPI complaints or grievances.
    • Click on the UPI Complaint option and you will be directed to a complaint form. Fill in the required information, which may include your name, contact details, UPI transaction details (transaction ID, date, and time), UPI ID or VPA of the recipient/sender, and a description of the issue or complaint.
    • Once you have filled in the complaint form with all the necessary details, click on the submit button to submit your UPI complaint. Before clicking the submit button, make sure the information you provide is correct.

    Contacting the bank

    • Reach out to the bank which is linked to your UPI account. Banks have dedicated customer support channels, such as phone lines, email addresses, or online chat options. Contact their customer support and bring up the issue you are facing with your UPI transactions. Sometimes, you may need to visit the bank and write an application form.
    • When lodging a UPI complaint, you should provide all relevant details. This includes the transaction ID, date and time of the transaction, the UPI ID or virtual payment address (VPA) of the recipient or sender, and any other relevant information regarding the issue.
    • If the issue is not resolved by your bank, you can escalate the complaint to the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). NPCI is the governing body that oversees UPI transactions. You can visit the official NPCI website and look for the complaint or grievance section. Fill out the complaint form with accurate details and submit it.
    • After filing a complaint, it is important to follow up regularly with your bank or NPCI to check the status of your complaint. Maintain a record of your complaint reference number and any communication you have with the concerned authorities.
    • If your complaint is not resolved satisfactorily by the bank or NPCI, you can approach the Banking Ombudsman. The Banking Ombudsman is an independent authority appointed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to resolve banking-related complaints. You can file a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman providing all the necessary details and supporting documents.
